MARKHAM: Nightingale Informatix Corporation, an application service provider of electronic medical record (EMR) software, has signed EMR contracts with two government agencies worth more than $1 million. Nightingale will start deployment for both contracts immediately and expects to wrap up by Summer 2012.

“Large healthcare organizations conduct extensive due diligence and set stringent selection criteria when choosing an EMR vendor,” said Sam Chebib, president and CEO of Nightingale Informatix. “As such, winning enterprise deals is always a particularly strong testament to the technology leadership of our cloud-based EMR offering, quality of our customer service and overall Nightingale brand.”

In December 2011, Nightingale also received a contract to provide bilingual (French and English) EMR software to 3,500 healthcare providers across Ontario. Valued at $17 million over the 10-year life of the agreement, the company said the contract was one of the largest EMR contracts ever awarded in Canada.
