Mark Pinder brings 20 years of experience to new role

LONDON, ON—Medbuy has appointed a healthcare procurement and supply chain professional to its strategic sourcing and member services team. Mark Pinder starts his new role as manager, strategic sourcing on August 20. His nearly 20-year career includes over a decade of healthcare sourcing and procurement experience with a health authority and shared services organization,  said Medbuy.

Pinder will manage the activities of a range of sourcing initiatives for medical/surgical products. He will oversee the development of RFPs and contracts, ongoing contract management, supplier performance and contract implementation. Most recently, he served as contract manager with Plexxus, a shared services organization for 11 hospitals based in Toronto and surrounding area. He developed sourcing strategies and contract management plans, conducting supplier performance reviews, negotiations, facilitating customer engagement and operating all processes within the Ontario BPS Directive.

Pinder has also held progressive positions, including as a capital and facilities buyer and purchasing manager, on the purchasing team at Interior Health Authority in BC. He has an SCMP designation and a bachelor of economics from UBC.
