EDMONTON: K-Bro Linen Inc and Alberta Health Services (AHS) are negotiating a long-term contract that would see K-Bro service AHS’s laundry and linen needs in Edmonton and its surroundings. K-Bro was selected as the preferred proponent for the health service’s request for proposal.

Alberta Health Services issued the RFP for laundry and linen services for a 10-year term starting in 2013, after K-Bro’s current two-year contract extension. “We are very pleased to be selected as the preferred proponent to negotiate a long-term contract with AHS,” said Linda McCurdy, K-Bro’s president and CEO. “It’s very satisfying to be successful in a rigorous RFP process and have the opportunity to extend our long-standing relationship with AHS.”

Alberta Health Services provides health services to 3.7 million Alberta residents through 400 facilities throughout the province.
