TORONTO: Business travel company Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) Canada has named Sherry Saunders as its new senior vice-president and general manager.

Saunders will oversee CWT Canada’s corporate travel, meetings and events and leisure travel business. She replaces Nick Vournakis in the position.

“I am honored by this opportunity to lead the outstanding group of individuals that make up this organization,” Saunders said.

Saunders has over 26 years of corporate travel experience across sales, program management, IT and operations. She most recently served as CWT Canada’s vice-president of traveller and transaction services.

“Sherry has developed an incredibly strong customer focus while leading the team that directly serves travelers day-in and day-out,” said Jack O’Neill, president, CWT North America. “Her background makes her uniquely qualified for this new, expanded role, and I am confident CWT Canada clients and their travellers will greatly benefit from her experience.”
