QUINCY, MA, and TORONTO—Icelandair and Porter Airlines have signed an interline agreement that will benefit passengers connecting between North America and more than 20 Icelandair destinations throughout Europe.

Passengers can now book one combined e-ticket for Porter Airlines and Icelandair flights, including checking baggage through to the final destination. Connections from more than 10 Canadian gateways are now available between airlines in Halifax, Boston, Washington-Dulles and New York-Newark.

“Canada is a growing market for Icelandair with many exciting opportunities on the horizon,” said Thorsteinn Egilsson, Icelandair general manager for the Americas. “The agreement with Porter Airlines will allow us to offer our passengers even more connections and flexibility throughout Canada.”

Icelandair also expanded its seasonal service from Toronto-Pearson to a year-round operation with plans to increase capacity next summer. Icelandair also resumed seasonal service from Halifax with up to three flights a week.
