New boss for GE Fleet

PURCHASINGB2B MAGAZINE, NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2010: Prithviraj Dasgupta has been named senior vice-president and managing director of GE Capital’s Fleet Services business in Canada. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the business’ growth strategies while further strengthening GE Capital Fleet Services’ position as one of the leading providers of fleet financing and management services in Canada.

Since starting his career at GE Capital in 2001, Dasgupta has held positions of increasing responsibility in operations, relationship management and globalization with GE Capital businesses in India, the US and Canada. Since 2006, he served in a dual role as globalization leader with GE Capital in Connecticut and operations leader for Fleet Services, Canada. Before joining GE, he worked in sales management at Philips Lighting. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a post-graduate diploma in business management.
