Maalt Transport has purchased its new Proof of Delivery (PoD) solution from the Motorola Solutions business of Motorola Inc. and ExtenData, a provider of mobility applications.

The PoD solution will help to improve the Texas-based company’s operations and increase productivity across its delivery fleet.

Maalt is made up of four divisions, has more than 150 employees, and owns 70 trucks and tankers.

Maalt also selected the Motorola MC75A enterprise mobile computer to help improve the receiving, unloading and storage of specialty sand products.

The MC75A.

The company operates rail spur facilities in Texas and Oklahoma and its 15 rail cars are unloaded and processed every four hours.
Bulk pneumatic transport trucks then deliver fracturing sand to remote drilling locations, which requires reliable connectivity to voice and data applications.

The PoD solution consists of Motorola’s MC75A enterprise mobile computers running ExtenData’s MobileConductor software to meet the demanding needs of Maalt Transport’s mobile workforce and provide future-proofing for potential advanced delivery operations.
