SASKATOON: SCS Supply Group Inc, has changed its name to Applied Industrial Technologies. The name change includes Toronto Bearing & Belting, CBS Equipment, and Jake’s Bearings. Applied Industrial Technologies, headquartered in Saskatoon, is the Canadian-operated subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc, an independent distributor of bearings, power transmission components, fluid power components and systems, rubber products, linear components and general maintenance supplies.
“The time is right for these businesses to be officially recognized as Applied Industrial Technologies,” said Ron Sowinski, president and CEO, Applied Industrial Technologies, LP. “These businesses have become an integrated part of Applied with more product lines and world class service to meet the needs of our growing customer base in Central Canada.”
The company said the name change will leverage the resources and benefits of being part of the Applied Industrial Technologies organization. SCS Supply Group operates eight locations in southern Ontario and services a broad base of industrial customers with bearings, couplings, speed reducers, belting, seals, lubricants, safety supplies and more.
