WATERLOO, ON—Sandvine, a provider of intelligent broadband network solutions for fixed and mobile operators, has received network policy control orders from two Western European mobile operators, totaling over $4.5 million. Sandvine said the orders expand existing deployments that enable “bill shock” notification and differentiated subscriber services. The customers are part of a multinational operator group with properties in Europe and Latin America. Sandvine expects to recognize the majority of related revenues in the first half of 2013.
“Sandvine’s products are helping these two mobile customers develop new revenue streams through services that capitalize on data growth while maintaining high-touch communications with their subscribers,” said Tom Donnelly, Sandvine’s COO of sales and global services.
Protecting subscribers with safeguards from unexpected charges, or bill shock, creates a safe environment for them to test the latest apps and rich media services, the company said, driving demand for data and smart phone adoption.
