Metals moved higher in London Monday as traders’ confidence surged.

Nickel for delivery in three months closed up $745 (2.8 percent) at $27,495 per metric ton ($12.47 per pound).

Lead gained $60 (2.6 percent) to close at $2,340 per metric ton ($1.06 per pound).

In addition, zinc rose $45 (1.9 percent) to close at $2,441 per metric ton ($1.11 per pound).
