SOUTHFIELD, Michigan—Procurement services provider DSSI, LLC has been selected by Faurecia to manage its tail end spend. Tail end spend typically refers to highly fragmented spend purchased through non-strategic, indirect suppliers. DSSI will provide purchasing support to Faurecia’s production and R&D locations across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“In general, tail end spend follows the 80/20 rule with 80 percent of suppliers accounting for 20 percent of an organization’s indirect spend,” said Dennis Buckley, VP of operations for DSSI.
Managing the supplier and item information associated with these unplanned transactions can prove costly for most organizations, Buckley also noted.
