DRUMMONDVILLE, QUEBEC: CVTech Group Inc says its subsidiary Riggs Distler & Company has won several electrical infrastructure maintenance and installation contracts in the US valued at at least US$30.3 million.
The Drummondville, Quebec-based CVTech said April 20 the new contracts include a $12.5-million increase for one with a major Maryland electric and natural gas provider already part of its backlog. A new four-year contract for the installation of underground electrical infrastructure with a New Jersey electricity provider is worth $6 million.
CVTech said Riggs Distler has also obtained several new contracts totalling $6.8 million to provide services for electrical transmission networks and substations for electric utility companies in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
An electrical generation company has awarded the company two new mechanical contracts valued at $5 million. The deal involves the provision of maintenance services for coal-fired boilers in Maryland and New York.
CVTech is a management company whose main subsidiary Riggs Distler provides services to the electric power industry for the maintenance of transmission and distribution lines, mostly in Quebec and the eastern United States. Another unit specializes in control of vegetation surrounding power lines and in clearing rights of way.
