Cardinal Health honoured for supplier diversity

Award recognizes supplier diversity, education and awareness, communications and accountability

DUBLIN, OHIO: Cardinal Health has been named a winner of the 7th-annual Performance Award and Diversity Award, presented by the Premier Healthcare Alliance. Winners of the performance award are recognized for outstanding management of Premier agreements and efforts to provide clinical and financial value to Premier Alliance members.

Cardinal Health also received the 2012 Premier Diversity Award, recognizing efforts to purchase goods and services from Premier contracted diverse suppliers, as well as develop procurement strategies aligned with the communities they serve. Winners are acknowledged for embracing supplier diversity, diversity education and awareness, diversity communications and accountability and best practices sharing.

Cardinal Health accepted the award at Premier’s 2012 Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Nashville on June 7.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Premier’s hospital members for the work we’ve done to create value-adding solutions in the arenas of operational excellence and supplier diversity,” said Don Casey, CEO, medical segment at Cardinal Health.
