TORONTO—Bruce Power has awarded Sierra Systems Group Inc a multi-year contract to supply project office, architecture, infrastructure, operations, application development, and solution implementation services.
Bruce Power said it had intended to establish a contractual mechanism to expedite procurement and reduce administrative overhead through a long-term strategic partnership with a single vendor. Sierra Systems was selected because of their experience with business transformation and performance-based delivery, and because of their comprehensive range of IT services. Sierra Systems, and their strategic partner Compugen Inc, will work with Bruce Power to provide an innovative, cost effective service delivery model for projects, applications and operational support services.
“Sierra Systems has a long and successful record of helping complex operations such as ours to optimize their service delivery performance,” said Richard Horrobin, vice-president of power marketing and CIO for Bruce Power. “The breadth of services provided by Sierra Systems will increase our capability to deliver business solutions and improve our time to market.”
